ALBtelecom is the largest landline and internet provider in Albania . The company was licensed in 1992 by Enti Rregullator i Telekomunikacioneve ( German  regulatory authority for telecommunications ) and initially managed by the state.

In addition to the landline network , ALBtelecom offers Internet use with ADSL , dial-up and ISDN services.

Equity participation

A Turkish consortium has held a 76% stake in ALBtelecom since October 1, 2007, consisting of Çalık Holding (80%) and Türk Telekom (20%). The remaining 24% is held by the Albanian government. The privatization came about through an economic reform program of the government.

Key figures

ALBtelecom controls around 80% of the Albanian landline market. There are also 75,000 Internet subscribers. For 2011, ALBtelecom plans to invest around € 40,000,000 in the expansion of the network.

subsidiary company

Eagle Mobile is a direct subsidiary of ALBtelecom and is 100% subordinate to it. The daughter was founded on March 12, 2008. She offers cellular subscriptions .
