The AN / AAR-60 ( JETDS designation) or "Missile Launch Detection System" (MILDS) is a missile warning system that is intended to warn the crew of helicopters and aircraft about enemy guided missiles . It is produced by Hensoldt Sensors GmbH and has been sold in over 8000 units worldwide.

description

In order to detect approaching missiles, the AAR-60 has four to six passive wide-angle UV sensors which can detect, track and identify the exhaust plume of up to eight guided missiles. The signal processing is already integrated in the sensor unit, which means that no additional specialized components are required.

There is also a further developed variant which can be installed on high-speed aircraft and is called "AN / AAR-60 (V) 2 MILDS F".
