The ANA Process GmbH is an apparatus construction company based in Merseburg .
history
The foundation of the company ANA Prozesstechnik GmbH goes back to Wilhelm Wiegand (1881–1951). In addition to his work as manager of his father's tannery in Merseburg an der Saale, Wilhelm Wiegand developed a multi-stage glue evaporator in 1908 for the production of glue from tanning liquors (patent specification 220485). In line with successful sales, new factories were built in 1920 and 1922, followed by the transition to in-house production of evaporation devices. The first milk evaporator was delivered in 1924. Steam jet compressors for thermal vapor compression , which is still extremely important for evaporation processes, were largely developed from 1929 onwards by his son Dr. Joachim Wiegand developed and brought to series production. Multi-stage steam jet air extractors have been part of the program as robust systems for generating deep vacuums since 1934. After state participation began in 1961, which was unavoidable for privately run businesses in the former GDR , it was converted into public ownership in 1972 . With the formation of large-scale combines and the enforcement of the territorial principle , VEB Industriemontagen Merseburg - itself a combine operation in the Leipzig-Grimma combine - took over the Merseburg apparatus construction.
On April 1, 1990, the company went into independence again with the establishment of Apparatebau Merseburg GmbH. Since 2013 ANA Prozesstechnik GmbH Merseburg has been a 100% subsidiary of AEL Apparatebau GmbH based in Leisnig .
