Han "Peanut" Wang-ho kor. : 한왕호 (born February 3, 1998 in South Korea ) is a professional South Korean e-athlete in the computer game League of Legends . He specializes in the jungle position and is, among other things, vice world champion and silver medalist at the Asian Games .
Career
Peanut was signed by NaJin e-mFire in late 2014 for the following year. In his debut season in the League Championship Korea (LCK) he played with his team only in the midfield of the league. At the end of the year he then switched to the ROX Tigers . With this team he first made it into the finals of the LCK in spring ( Spring Split ), where ROX was defeated by the series winner SK Telecom T1 . In the following summer ( Summer Split ) the team reached the final of the LCK again and this time defeated KT Rolster , which in addition to the equivalent of almost 90,000 US dollars in prize money, also included qualifying for the world championship . There Peanut reached the semi-finals with the ROX Tigers, but lost to SK Telecom T1 there.
In 2017 he switched to competitor SK Telecom T1 and won two major tournaments with the LCK 2017 Spring Split and the Mid-Season Invitational 2017. Analysts named him the most valuable player in the mid-season invitation, even if no official award was given at the tournament. His team again managed to qualify for the World Cup, but this time they made it to the final. In a purely South Korean final, however, the team clearly lost 3-0 to Samsung Galaxy .
In late 2017, it was announced that he would be joining Longzhu Gaming for the coming year . Shortly thereafter, Longzhu was renamed Kingzone DragonX . Peanut's new team initially won the LCK 2018 Spring Split, but after a disappointing second half of the season failed to qualify for the World Championship. For this he was appointed to the South Korean national team at the 2018 Asian Games . It was the first time that League of Legends was featured as a "demonstration sport" at the Asian Games. South Korea won silver, gold went to the Chinese team.
Surname
In 2016, Peanut changed his maiden name Yoon Wang-ho (윤왕호) to Han Wang-ho (한왕호) .
