AOC International is a high-tech Taiwanese supplier specializing in the manufacture of computer monitors , TV screens and displays. It is a subsidiary of TPV Technology .
history
The company was founded by Ross Siragusa as Admiral Overseas Corporation in Chicago and was the Asian branch of his electronics specialist Admiral , which had been operating since 1934. The company was established in Taiwan in 1967 and began producing and exporting color televisions there . In 1978 the name was changed to AOC International and from 1979 it was sold under the brand name AOC . Between 1988 and 1997, branch offices were established in Europe, China, Brazil and the United States. In 2005 and 2006 further branches followed in India and Mexico. Today AOC works as a subsidiary of the Hong Kong- based electronics manufacturer TPV Technology and sells products in over 40 countries worldwide.
Products
AOC International manufactures monitors for computers and television sets, including a wide selection of LC displays such as IPS or TFT monitors, and complete desktop computers are also offered. The range of computer screens is adapted for use in business, home and gaming. Advertisements for tablets are also produced, and there is also a range of cathode ray tube screens , which are rarely in demand these days.
