ARVØ (* 1992 in Erlabrunn as Raphael Schmiedel) is a German musician and music producer .

Life

At the age of 10, ARVØ discovered their interest in electronic music and began to produce their own songs and later play them as a DJ in the Zwickau area . Later living in Tallinn , there was a meeting in September 2017 with the world's most played, living composer, Arvo Pärt . Triggered by this encounter, the music project derived from the composer's first name was launched a short time later.

The first release took place with the single Northward Bound in December 2018. As part of the Tour de Traum XVI compilation by Riley Reinhold 's Cologne label Traum Schallplatten , ARVØ was represented alongside artists such as Dominik Eulberg , Max Cooper and Ryan Davis .

In March 2019 ARVØ's remix of the song Lell'o (3rd Prize Song of the Year 2018 in Estonia .) By the successful Estonian band Trad.Attack! This was also the first official reinterpretation of one of the Trad.Attack! S works.

In October 2019, the debut EP Dream Off was released on the Chicago-based label Deep Hype Sounds .

Musical style

ARVØ belongs to the Techno and Electronica division . The specialty of his music is the integration of the sounds of the violin , which he has been playing since the age of 5. His music is sometimes described as violin techno.
