Dominik Eulberg (born September 13, 1978 in the Westerwald ) is a German DJ and producer in the field of minimal techno .

Life

At the beginning of his career as a producer, Eulberg tried his hand at Schranz and later switched to Minimal. His first major success was the maxi "Der Pike im Karpfenteich" on Riley Reinhold's label Traum Schallplatten . With a few releases , Eulberg quickly became known in the techno scene. He achieved his breakthrough with his remix of Roman Flügel's piece “Is it still?” On the Väth label Cocoon Recordings . In April 2007 the third studio album "Heimische Gefilde" was released. In collaboration with Arne Schaffhausen from the Duo Extrawelt , he released the EP “… A Little Further” on May 5, 2014 via Cocoon Recordings.

A characteristic of his music are the animal and nature sounds contained in the tracks. This production method earned his music the label “eco-techno” (groove).

Eulberg studied ecology with a focus on nature conservation , is committed to near-natural forestry and is the author of articles in scientific journals. In addition, he has carried out projects for the Offenbach am Main University of Design and, together with nature conservation associations and the Chaos Computer Club , is developing installations in which the ultrasonic calls from bats are transformed into audible frequencies and sampled by Eulberg.

In 2017 Dominik Eulberg founded his Apus apus label.
