Cocoon Recordings is a record label based in Frankfurt am Main and was founded by Sven Väth in 2000 as part of Cocoon Music Event GmbH . The other areas of the company are Cocoon Booking and Cocoon Clubbing , where club events, outdoor events and tours are organized.

Sven Väth founded Cocoon Recordings as a platform for the further development of electronic music . The aim of the label is to help young DJs and producers to publish their music without being dependent on major structures. The publications can largely be assigned to the techno genre.
The flagship among Cocoon Recordings' publications is the Cocoon Compilation series , which has been published annually since 2000 and whose publications are named after the alphabet . Here you can hear tracks produced exclusively for Cocoon Recordings by established artists of the label as well as by new talents.
The series … in the Mix collects mixes from DJs. Since 2000, label founder Väth has published such a mix compilation every year.
After each season in Ibiza , Väth publishes his current set, for the first time in autumn 2000 under the title The Sound of the First Season . The mix CD immediately reached number 28 in the official German compilation charts . Other Cocoon artists in this series are Richie Hawtin (together with Väth on The Sound of the Third Season ), Steve Bug , Ricardo Villalobos , Pascal FEOS , Frank Lorber , Toni Rios and Tobi Neumann .
In addition to these very successful series, Cocoon Recordings also releases albums and EPs by Cocoon artists such as Roman Flügel , Jacek Sienkiewicz , Legowelt , Dominik Eulberg and Guy Gerber .
