Len Faki
Len Faki , actually Levent Faki , is a producer and DJ in the field of electronic dance music. Faki is of Turkish descent and also known by the pseudonym lamonde . He performed as a DJ in clubs such as Ostgut (Berlin), Tresor (Berlin), Rote Sonne (Munich) and U60311 (Frankfurt) and at festivals such as Nature One , SonneMondSterne and Alive (Belgium). His breakthrough came in 2007 when he released the successful tracks Mekong Delta and My Black Sheep .
career
Len Faki became known in the mid-1990s with the Lexicon project on the house label Plastic City , before he founded two techno labels with Monoid and Feis . Productions by artists such as Uroš Umek , Samuel L. Session , John Selway , The Hacker and Bolz Bolz have appeared on these labels . Under his pseudonym Lamonde , he released his debut album Music For Some Place Other Than This in 2001 , which was praised by the music magazine De: Bug .
In August 2002 the DJ mix compilation Lamonde At The Wheels of Steel was released . Further productions on labels such as Superbra (Switzerland), GoodLife (France) and Terminal M (Berlin) followed.
In 2003 Len Faki founded Len Series, an independent parent label, from which the sub-label Figure emerged.
In 2007 Len Faki was voted first place in the Groove Reader Poll 2007 in the categories of best newcomer and best producer . Two of his tracks made it into the top 5 - Mekong Delta in first place and My Black Sheep in fourth place.
Len Faki is resident DJ at the Berlin club Berghain .
