Samuel L. Session

Samuel L. Session (* 1973 in Gothenburg ; actually Samuel Larsson ) is a Swedish DJ and producer in the field of electronic dance music.

Session was best known for the string techno track Velvet , which was voted one of the best tracks of 2001 in Groove magazine . Velvet appeared with numerous remixes by artists such as Adam Beyer , Joel Mull and Funk D'Void .

career

In 1995, Session founded his own label, Solid Beat , which was discontinued after two years and was replaced by Cycle Records in 1997 . All productions, such as Centrafrique Part 1–4 or Tribecutz , were published there up to the year 2000 . In 2001 he achieved his breakthrough with the Velvet EP and the Velvet Remixes . This was followed by publications on Monika Kruse's series On The Road Vol. 2 . Among other things, the Funk De Luxe EP was released on Dave Angels Rotation Records , the track Givin 'You on Heiko Laux ' s Kanzleramt Records and the track A Bastard's Work Is Never Done including a remix 12 " on the Swiss label Phont .

In 2000 Cycle Records was discontinued and the label SLS named after him was founded. Session brings out a mix compilation on the Monoid label .

2001 saw the release of the debut Maxi New Soil on SLS . In the same year, Samuel Session produced a remix for Funk D'Void's club hit Diabla . Samuel produced further remixes for Emmanuel Top ( Turkish Bazar ), Slam ( Azure ), Itamar Sagi ( Black Gold ) and Alexander Kowalski ( Dark Soul Part III ), among others . He also produced various tracks for Adam Beyer's drumcode series .

In 2004 the album Nocturnal was released . In 2009 the album The Man With The Case followed .
