Dave Angel (* 1966 in London , United Kingdom as David Angelico Nicholas Gooden ) is a British techno musician, DJ and label owner. He also publishes under the pseudonyms Sound Enforcer and XXX .

Life

Angel was born in 1966 in Chelsea, London, the first of four children to a jazz musician. His siblings Monie Love and Baz are also active as musicians. He started playing drums at the age of eight.

After imprisonment for drug offenses in the 1980s, Angel devoted himself to music. From the mid-1980s Angel worked as a DJ. From 1986 he played on the London radio station faze 1. In 1989 he produced a remix of Eurythmics Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) , which was initially not to appear as an unauthorized adaptation and was only released after Dave Stewart intervened .

In 1993, Angel founded the Rotation Records label . In 1995 Angel's debut album Tales Of The Unexpected was released . In the same year the mix compilation X-Mix 4 - Beyond The Heavens was released . Also in 1995 was the Handle with Care EP , which was best known for the included Carl Craig 's Drums Suck Mix of the Angel track Airborne .

In 1997 he released his second album Globetrotting .
