Monie Love (* 2. July 1970 as Simone Wilson in London , UK , now Simone Gooden ) is an English MC and radio presenter in the United States . This recognition led to a contract with Warner Bros. Records that made Monie Love one of the few British hip-hop artists to be released by a major label.

Monie Love also has a place in hip hop history as a member of Native Tongues, a positive hip hop collective that consisted of Queen Latifah, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest , the Jungle Brothers and countless others.
