Jungle Brothers
The Jungle Brothers are a hip-hop duo from New York City that formed as a trio in the mid- 1980s . You are one of the founders of the native tongues .
The founding members of the group were DJ and MC Afrika Baby Bam from Brooklyn , who was born Nathaniel Hall and named himself after Afrika Bambaataa , and MC Mike G. (Michael Small) and DJ Sammy B (Sammy Burwell), both from Harlem . Her first album Straight Out the Jungle was released in 1988 on a small label. Afrocentric political texts were superimposed on samples from jazz , rock , soul , reggae , spirituals and blues on the album and a house track was created in collaboration with producer Todd Terry . Many of the Jungle Brothers' innovations were picked up by other artists in the years that followed.
In 1989 the group signed with Warner Bros. , who brought out the second album, Done By the Forces of Nature . The album was more danceable and melodic than the debut and the lyrics were even more influenced by their political ideas.
After four years without publication, J. Beez wit the Remedy appeared in 1993 , which was originally to be called Crazy Wisdom Masters . The Jungle Brothers then signed for their 97 album Raw Deluxe with the British label Gee Street , on which VIP (2000) and All that We Do (2002) were also released. The latter was produced by Todd Terry and includes techno and drum and bass influences. In 2003, You In My Hut Now was released by ZYX .
