Daze Maxim (born March 29, 1977 in Zabrze , Poland ; actually Markus Stanislaw Manowski ) is a German musician who has made a name for himself internationally in the field of electronic music.

Life

Daze Maxim came to Germany at the age of four after his parents emigrated from Poland to Germany. He grew up in Düsseldorf and was interested in various musical instruments from an early age. In his younger years he was influenced by music by Carlos Santana and Herbie Hancock . He started playing computer music when he was twelve. With a Commodore Amiga he took his first steps towards electronic music. At the age of 15, he was already a DJ behind record players at various events. It was at this point that his great interest in jazz began.

In 1995 he released his first record on Jakpot , a label by Oliver Bondzio (Hardfloor, a Damn Phreak Noize Phunk) and Heinrich Tillack (Plus8)

Three years later he founded the label Serial Killer's Haircut together with Oliver Bondzio . In 2000 his debut album Same Place The Bot Got Smashed was released on Harthouse . In 2002, Cocoon Recordings was followed by productions . In 2005 he founded the label Hello? Repeat Records together with Jan Krüger .
