ASF Bobo-Dioulasso (Association sportive des fonctionnaires de Bobo-Dioulasso) is a sports club from Bobo-Dioulasso , the second largest city in the West African state of Burkina Faso .

ASF Bobo-Dioulasso at CF Ouagadougou (2007/08 season)

The club was founded on April 20, 1948 by the officials ( French fonctionnaires ) Ousséni Diallo, Arsène Mobio, Tiémoko Camara, André Tall and Raoul Vicens.

The club plays in the colors black and yellow, was twice Burkinabe champion (1961, 1966) and was able to win the national cup competition five times (1986, 1989, 1997, 1998, 2004). The championship title from 1961 was the first to be held after the independence of what was then Upper Volta .

Participation in the semifinals of the Cup competition of French West Africa , the Coupe d'AOF , in 1960 against Étoile Filante de Lomé (Togo) meant the first major success of a Upper Voltaic team. The players included Seydou Bamba, Gilbert Da Silva ( Cape Verde ) and Bernard Ouédraogo. The 2006/07 season ended ASF in 9th place. In 2009 they were relegated to the second division.

The ASF teams were not very successful in international competitions, most recently Les Buffles took part in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2005 . A 3-0 win against Al-Ittihad ( Libya ) in the first round was followed by a 4-0 defeat in the second leg.

Since the Stade Omnisports de Bobo-Dioulasso is currently not used for league games due to high maintenance costs, ASF plays its home games at the Stade Wobi .
