history

The association was founded in July 1999 as a non-profit association for the accreditation of engineering and computer science courses. In July 2001, the first engineering / IT programs are accredited and they receive the ASII certificate. In September 2002 the ASII merged with the accreditation agency for courses in chemistry , biochemistry and chemical engineering at universities and technical colleges , resulting in today's ASIIN. In 2003, the establishment of committees for natural sciences and mathematics began.

In February 2006 the association was a founding member of the European network of engineering accreditation agencies and associations European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) , in April of that year an application was submitted to the EU Commission for the promotion of the development of European standards for the accreditation of computer science courses , Euro-Inf project (European Accreditation of Informatics Programs) submitted. The admission as a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) took place in February 2007. Associated with the admission was the determination that the ASIIN meets the requirements of the "Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area" .
