ASK Chemicals ( Ashland-Südchemie-Kernfest GmbH ) is a German chemical group and supplier of foundry chemicals . It was created in 2010 through the merger of the foundry divisions of Ashland Inc. and Süd-Chemie . In 2014 it was sold to the Rhône Group .
ASK Chemicals produces various resins (e.g. furan resins ), sizes, release agents , binders and other products.
The company has locations in Germany , Spain , the Czech Republic , Brazil , the People's Republic of China , Japan , Korea and the USA . The head office is in Hilden near Düsseldorf .
