The ATP auto parts Pöllath Handels GmbH (short: ATP Auto Parts), headquartered in Kirchenthumbach (Bavaria) is a German company in the automotive parts market. The trading company, founded in 2002, has specialized in online sales and sells auto parts and spare parts through its own online shop. Currently (as of November 2017) 400 employees ensure a turnover of over 100 million euros.

history

In 2002, managing director Peter Pöllath founded the company ATP Autoteile. Together with the first three employees, an eBay shop for auto parts was opened. A year later, the first own ATP auto parts online shop followed.

In 2005 the company was transformed into what is now ATP Auto -teile-Pöllath Handels GmbH. In order to create storage space and office space for the rapidly growing trade, the founder rented several empty garages and warehouses. In 2007 an additional warehouse with 3000 m² of storage space was added in Pressath.

In 2012, the old school building in Kirchenthumbach was acquired and converted into the company headquarters.

In 2013 a new logistics center was opened in Pressath with a hall area of ​​12,200 m² and a site area of ​​150,000 m² (see also: Shipping and logistics).

In 2017 the company celebrated its 15th anniversary. In the same year, construction work began to expand the logistics center by another 20,000 storage spaces.

At the end of 2019 it was announced that ATP had been taken over by the Swiss Automotive Group (SAG), subject to the approval of the competition authorities.

In February 2020 the company "ATP Auto -teile-Pöllath" Handels GmbH was renamed "PATT Handels-GmbH".

On March 18, 2020, the company filed for insolvency at the Weiden District Court (Upper Palatinate) under the file number IN 65/20.

In May 2020 the company was sold to the Swiss investor SAG Group. Over 100 employees lost their jobs in the course of the bankruptcy.

Locations

The company headquarters of ATP is located in Markt Kirchenthumbach (Bavaria) in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt ad Waldnaab .

The logistics center is located in Pressath in the same district.

Further logistics areas are being built in neighboring towns and in the city of Weiden id OPf. to chat.

Product range

In addition to spare and wear parts, the product portfolio also includes car care / chemicals, electronics, tuning / styling as well as tools and accessories. 800,000 car parts are currently available in the online shop.

In addition to manufacturer brands, ATP Autoteile has two own brands available exclusively from ATP. These are the ATEC Germany brand, registered since 2008, and the ENVA brand, registered since 2015.

ATP has a largely fully automated logistics center.

Up to 16,000 parcels are sent on peak days. This shipping volume is to be raised to over 20,000 parcels a day by expanding.

Awards

In 2012 and 2015, ATP was awarded “Bavaria's Best 50” by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs for particularly high-growth companies.

In 2015, 2016 and 2018 ATP received the “TOP Shop” award from Computer Bild magazine.

In 2016, 2017 and 2018, ATP received the award "Germany's Best Online Shop" in the auto parts and accessories section of FOCUS magazine.

In 2017, the company achieved third place in the INTERNET WORLD Business Shop Awards in the “Best Online Pureplayer” category.
