history

At the beginning of 2006 aTunes was created because the author Alex Aranda was looking for an application that could read the tags of the songs on his Apple iPod . It should also be possible to display the songs on the hard drive in an organized manner. The first version was aTunes 0.3 on March 24, 2006. Gradually, new functions were added, including volunteers who do part of the development work. The number of translations also increased, so that today 26 languages are available. With the release of the Jukebox Power Pack, the aTunes team has confirmed its willingness to cooperate with the Jajuk project, which is under the GPL, and Jukes, which is under a Creative Commons license.
