AUX 88 is an electro band from Michigan , USA .

history

AUX 88 was founded in 1993 by Tom Tom (Tommy Hamilton) and Keith Tucker. Before that, both of them worked in the "RX-7" group, which was founded in 1985, and at "Sight Beyond Sight". In 1995 Tucker left the formation to devote himself to a solo project. Instead, the dancer William "BJ" Smith, who left the group in 1998, joined them. Hamilton then continued AUX 88 as a solo project until Tucker later rejoined the group. Anthony Horten (Black Tony) was also part of the original formation of "RX-7" and "AUX 88". Keith Tucker and Anthony Horten also founded the project "Optic Nerve" and the formation "Alien FM" with "AUX 88". "Optic Nerve" was intended to be a more abstract kind of Detroit Electro / Techno and "Alien FM" was a far more psychedelic project than AUX 88.

The group has released numerous singles and albums. Your debut album, Is It Man Or Machine? appeared in 1996, followed in 1998 by Hamilton's solo project Xeo-Genetic , which won the Detroit Music Award for Best Artist and Best Recording. In 1999 AUX 88 released a mix album in the "Electro Boogie" series, in 2005 the third album with the title AUX 88 was released , four years later the album Mad Scientist .

AUX 88 also operated under the pseudonyms Aux Men and Alien FM.
