Aalborgtårnet in Aalborg (Denmark)

The Aalborgtaarnet (Aalborgtårnet, Danish tårn: "tower") is a lookout tower built in 1933 on the occasion of the North Jutland exhibition in Aalborg ( Denmark ) with a tower restaurant on its top at 54.9 meters above the ground. The architect was Carlo Odgård from Aalburg. The Aalborgtarnet has been designed as a steel lattice tower of a somewhat unusual design. It consists of three steel framework columns that are connected to each other just above half the height. In 2005 the tower was extensively renovated. The entire restaurant was removed from the tower structure using a crane and parts of the steel structure were replaced.
