Aanecht
Aanecht , also Aanacht , was an ancient Egyptian artist ("supreme of the necropolis craftsmen ") who lived around 1200 to 1170 BC. Was active in Deir el-Medina .
Aanecht is known from a note in which his titles were given. At first he was a simple necropolis worker , later he is listed as the "chief of the necropolis craftsmen". He must have been the leading artist in the necropolis of Thebes-West . In this high office he was the successor of Paneb and the predecessor of Nechetemmut . This chronological classification also reveals the life and effectiveness of the Aanecht. Works cannot be assigned to him.
