aba (association)

The working group for company pensions e. V. (aba) is a German professional association for issues relating to company pension schemes .

Aba was founded on December 10, 1938 in Heidelberg and is the successor organization to the Association of German Private Pension Funds eV, which was founded in 1922 and dissolved when aba was founded.

Seat of the association in Berlin. The aba is a discussion partner for politics , justice , administration , employers and employees in all questions relevant to company pensions . The Federal Ministry of Finance refers to him for questions about company pension schemes .

Its approximately 1,200 members include companies of all sizes, providers of company pension schemes and associations such as central associations for employers and employees as well as individuals - experts , actuaries , lawyers , tax advisors and auditors - and interested parties from other European countries. Georg Thurnes has been chairman of aba since May 2019.

The association publishes the newsletter "Company pension scheme" as well as various specialist books on issues relating to company pension schemes.
