Aba from Kashkar
Aba von Kaschkar , also Aba II. , Was a Syrian politician and an author of the late 6th century and early 7th century.
Aba belonged to the Assyrian Church of the East , was well versed in philosophy , astronomy and medicine, and had good connections at the court of the Sassanid king, Chosrau II . Aba worked for Chosrau II as an envoy to the Byzantine emperor Maurikios . With his contacts at the Persian court, he was able to render his church considerable service.
In the literary field, he was mainly active through translations into the Syrian language and with comments, for example on the logic of Aristotle .
