from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abalgamaš (24th century BC) was king of Paraḫšum in the city of Warahši , a northern neighbor of Elam . He is best known from the stories of the Akkadian king Rimuš , against whom he and Hišep-Ratep von Elam waged a war. The war was decided in a battle near Susa , which Rimuš won. According to him, he took a total of 4,000 prisoners of war and looted large amounts of gold and copper, which he then consecrated to Enlil in Nippur .
