Abbahu
Rabbi Abbahu was one of the most important Amoraians of the so-called third generation (around 290-320 AD) in Palestine .
He was one of the later students of Jochanan and also a student of Jose ben Chanina, studied with Resch Lakisch and Rabbi Eleazar ben Pedat . He was the head of the school in Caesarea and a connoisseur of Greek.
Several controversies with Minim (heretics) have come down to us from him.
