Demolition Hunter
Demolition Hunter (actually auction demolition hunters ) are participants in online auctions that offer only minimal amounts and are hoping for a termination of the auctions. If an auction is canceled by the seller, they demand compensation in the amount of the difference between the highest bid at the time the auction was canceled and the costs for a replacement of the item offered in the auction. If an auction is incorrectly described, it will not reach enough bidders, which can favor demolition hunters. In Germany, a demolition hunter failed before the Federal Court of Justice with his claim for damages because he was not the owner of the user account himself, but the Federal Court of Justice considers an abuse of law in the principles to be possible.
