Abby Johnston (born November 16, 1989 in Columbus ) is an American water diver . After she was initially active in a gymnastics club for nine years, but was no longer allowed to gymnastics due to a back injury, she began diving in 2002. She starts jumping from the 1-meter and 3-meter board, and is trained by Drew Johansen.

She took 2011 in Shanghai for the first time at the World Cup in part. In jumping from the 1-meter board, she reached sixth place. In 2008 and 2009 she won a national championship title, in 2006 she took part in the Junior World Championship, but missed the jump into a final.

Johnston is studying at Duke University . She starts for the university's sports team, the Iron Dukes .
