Abdou FM Badjie

Alhaji Abdou FM Badjie was governor of the Gambian Western Region (WR).

Life

Badjie was appointed Governor (then Commissioner ) of the Western Region (now known as the West Coast Region) in May 2006 . He had previously held this office and was dismissed from office in mid-February 2006. In the meantime he was appointed Gambian ambassador for Taiwan, but was not sent and instead reinstated as governor of the western region.

On June 19, 2008 he was released from his duties again, the official business was temporarily carried out by his assistant ( English assistant governor ) Sainabou Faal, who had been in office since 2004. Lamin Sanneh became his successor.
