Abdul Kareem al-Khasawneh

Shaykh Abdul Kareem al-Khasawneh ( Arabic عبد الكريم الخصاونة, DMG ʿAbd al-Karīm al-Ḫaṣāwina ; * 1944 ) has been Grand Mufti of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan since February 2010 . He is the former mufti of the Jordanian Armed Forces .

He is also a member of the Jordanian ifta '(legal adviser) committee in addition to being a board member of the World Islamic University .

In 2008 he was one of the Muslim delegation participants of the 2nd seminar of the Catholic-Muslim Forum .
