Abel-Dominique Boyé
Abel-Dominique Boyé , (born May 6, 1864 in Marmande , † 1934 ibid) was a French genre and nude painter.
Boyé studied from 1881 at the École des beaux-arts de Bordeaux and continued his studies from 1883 at the École des beaux-arts de Paris with Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant .
After graduating, he worked as a freelance genre and nude painter. From 1884 he exhibited in the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français , where he received a 3rd class medal in 1888 and a gold medal in 1895. In 1895 he received a travel grant from the Ministry of Public Education and Fine Arts.
He showed his works at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889 and 1900 . He also exhibited in Barcelona, Brussels, London, Geneva and Lyon.
In 1930 he was appointed officer of the Legion of Honor .
