Readiness for departure
The departure readiness is a term from the railway operation , which must be present so that a summarizing train a Abfahrauftrag may be granted.
Procedure
No train is allowed to depart unless its driver has received a departure order. Readiness for departure and departure order are thus part of the measures to secure train journeys .
In order to be ready to leave, a number of conditions must be met. These are created by the local staff at the operations center and the train staff in precisely defined individual steps. Train drivers and - if available - train drivers , train attendants , conductors and local supervision (train supervision) are involved in this.
The train supervisor determines that the train is ready to depart . It exists when
- the train is prepared for departure ; this essentially includes that
- the vehicles are correctly coupled to each other ,
- the technical inspection has been carried out, if necessary,
- the
- if necessary, a brake calculation has been carried out,
- the brake test has been carried out,
When the local supervisor has determined that the vehicle is ready to leave, it issues the departure order with the departure signal Zp 9 or verbally after the dispatcher has approved the departure . If the train driver is responsible for train supervision, i.e. there is no separate train driver and no local supervision, the departure order (self-handling) does not apply.
