Abgegrieft (real name Lucas Bürger ; * June 28, 1997 ) is a German web video producer who publishes Let's Plays on the YouTube video portal in particular .

Youtube channel

Abgrieft began in 2013 with his videos on Minecraft . Initially, the videos were limited to simple conversation in which he chatted other participants in the game, grunted them and posted the reactions on the Internet.

From 2016 to the beginning of 2020, daily videos appeared on his channel and the range of videos was expanded. In 2017 and 2018 Abgegrieft was part of the StreamingWithHeart project , a streaming project that raised over € 70,000 for cancer aid.

At the end of 2018 Abgegrieft came under fire together with the YouTubers SkyGuy and Phorx for several entertainment videos because they pretended to be the victim of an unknown perpetrator who allegedly committed various crimes. This ultimately also led to a real police operation. It was later criticized in the media that they risk police operations for their own profit and that they keep their viewers in the dark about the fact that the incidents are staged.

Abgrieft was affected by a hacking attack in 2019 in which the data of 994 politicians and celebrities were published . The data leaks at that time took place via the hijacked Twitter account of his YouTube friend Yannick Kromer . Since the hacker 0rbit_ and Kromer had their beginnings in the Minecraft scene and had contact with Abgegrieft , the FAZ subsequently produced a report on the data leak and the consequences for those affected and the possible dangers in the gaming world.

Companies

On July 30, 2019, Abgegrieft founded Lucas Bürger eK as the official owner of its server networks GrieferGames and MineSucht , as well as the operator of its YouTube channel and social media pages. ABC Media GmbH was founded as the successor company of Lucas Bürger eK on August 30, 2019 and was dissolved. She also holds the rights to the registered word marks Abgegrieft and MineSucht . On November 19, 2019, Bürger Capital GmbH was founded as an asset management company. Abgrieft is the managing director of both companies. The company is based in Monheim am Rhein.
