Ablaze My Sorrow was a Swedish melodic death metal band that was active from 1993 to 2006.

history

In 1993, when Ablaze My Sorrow was founded, they released their first demo . Then they released two albums in 1996 and 1997. Discouraged by the lack of success, the band paused for a long time. In the late 1990s they got back together for a short time, but only after the arrival of the singer Kristian Lönnsjö in 2002 did a new album, Anger, Hate And Fury appear . Niklas Sundin designed the cover .

In 2004 the band performed again at the Swedish 2000 Decibel Festival , but then broke up in 2006.

reception

The band failed to achieve major successes or recognition. Critics attested the band's solid quality, but also pointed to its lack of originality. The band has often been compared with other melodic death metal bands such as In Flames or Dark Tranquility .
