Abraham Kurc

Abraham Kurc (* before 1918; † 1942 in the Treblinka extermination camp ) was a Polish actor of Jewish origin in Yiddish theater and pre-war films.

Life

Kurc ​​played in Jewish theaters between the two world wars. He also starred in two Yiddish-language films: in 1936 in the comedy Jidl mit der Fiddle and in 1937 in the drama Der Dybbuk . In the Warsaw ghetto he worked with Ajzyk Samberg in the canteen at 2 Leszno Street and continued to play in the Eldorado Theater, including the last play Dorfs Jung performed there in June 1942. He was deported from the ghetto in 1942 to Treblinka and there murdered.
