Guy assembly

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The guy Assembly is a fishing method used by anglers , is used to the European catfish ( Silurus glanis to catch).

The bait is attached to a fixed point at which the angler suspects the catfish to eat. The bait is fixed (tensioned) with a thin rip cord . This rip cord is connected to the main line of the fishing rod under tension and triggers a self-hooking effect on the catfish when it bites. The angler takes the bite from the movement of the rod tip. Bells or electronic bite indicators are often used as additional signal transmitters.

There are numerous variations of this type of mounting (stone mounting, buoy mounting, etc.).
