The Tooth ( english The tooth ) is a 1479 m high rocky outcrop in the Kyle Hills east of Mount Terror on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises 1.5 km south-southeast of Tent Peak and is reminiscent of a fossil shark tooth .
The formation was given its descriptive name by participants in the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1958-1959), who explored the eastern part of Ross Island.
