Abus Kransysteme GmbH ( spelling : ABUS Kransysteme ) is a German manufacturer of indoor cranes based in Gummersbach .

history

Abus Kransysteme KG was founded by Werner Bühne in 1965 and is now one of Europe's leading manufacturers of indoor cranes . The Abus program includes transport systems for loads from 80 kg to 120 tons. Around 6,000 crane systems and 14,000 lifting systems are manufactured every year.

Corporate structure

Abus maintains production facilities for slewing cranes and overhead monorail systems in Marienheide- Rodt , for overhead traveling cranes in Gummersbach- Lantenbach and in Gummersbach's Sonnenberg industrial park . A development, test and training center is also located at the Marienheide location.

The sole shareholder of Abus Kransysteme GmbH is LBI Holding GmbH in Gummersbach with an identical board of directors.

There are 19 representative offices in Germany and service points are maintained at around 40 locations. Six subsidiaries are run in Europe, and sales are carried out through 17 partner companies. It also has its own branch in Shanghai, with 27 other sales partners around the world.

In addition to installing and servicing its own crane systems, Abus is also approved by the employers' liability insurance association for the acceptance of crane systems and the mandatory annual safety inspection of crane systems.
