Hoist
As a hoist (also lift ) devices for lifting designated and moving loads. In contrast to elevators, the load is not guided in a fixed manner, but lifted in a free-floating or floating manner.

The history of development goes back to the time of the pyramid construction and further back to the Stone Age . For documentation purposes, originated in Herbede the hoist Museum .
In the future, the further development of hoists will be largely linked to the development of Industry 4.0 - i.e. the link with information technology. For example, the condition of electrically powered rope hoists can already be monitored remotely today.
