The Hire Purchase Act ( AbzG ), and Law on the installment sales was a law of 16 May 1894 and was prepared by the Consumer Credit Act repealed on 17 December 1990th It is changed under § 506 ff. BGB .

It regulated sales contracts for movable objects , in which the goods are handed over to the buyer before full payment has been made. Today it is regulated in laws on the purchase of finance and the regulations on deferred payment §§ 506 ff. BGB.
