Achille rack
Achille Rack (born June 19, 1815 in Benfeld ; † February 9, 1886 there ) was an Alsatian physician, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Rack, who was a Catholic denomination, attended the University of Strasbourg and finished his studies as Dr. med. and became a general practitioner and was since 1867 member of the district assembly , formerly Conseil Général, of Alsace-Lorraine. From 1878 to 1886 he was a member of the regional committee of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine, elected by the Lower Alsace District Assembly . He had been the mayor of Benfeld since 1852.
From 1877 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Alsace-Lorraine 7 ( Molsheim , Erstein ) and the Alsace-Lorraine protest party .
