Achmerowski Forest

The Achmerovsky Forest ( Bashkir Әхмәр урманы ; Russian Ахмеровский лес ) is a forest in Bashkortostan in Russia . Its area is about 15 km². In its highest elevation it reaches almost 340 m .

The forest is located south of the R316 road ( Sterlitamak - Magnitogorsk ) within the Ischimbai Rajons in the northeast of the municipality of Ischimbai , 21 km northeast of Ishimbai and 18 km east of Sterlitamak.

Oaks and linden trees grow in the Achmerowski Forest . The wood from the Achmerowski Forest was used in the salt pans on the edge of the forest until the 20th century. Along the southern part of the forest there are more clearings with meadows.
