Akhmet Kuanowitsch Schubanow
Ahmet Kuanowitsch Schubanow ( Kazakh Ахмет Қуанұлы Жұбанов , Russian Ахмет Куанович Жубанов ; born April 28 . Jul / 11. May 1906 greg. In Kosuaktam ; † the thirtieth May 1968 in Almaty ) was a Kazakh-Soviet composer.
Schubanov studied at the Leningrad Conservatory . From 1934 he lived in Alma-Ata (today Almaty), where he founded a Kazakh folk instrument orchestra. From 1945 to 1950 he was director of the Almaty Conservatory.
He composed two operas , a symphonic poem , a suite and an overture , violin, piano and vocal works, pieces for Kazakh folk instruments and a film score. His daughter Gasisa Akhmetovna Schubanova also became known as a composer.
