Eight eccentrics from Yangzhou
Eight eccentrics from Yangzhou ( Chinese 揚州八怪 / 扬州八怪 , Pinyin Yangzhou baguai ) is the name of a group of eight Chinese painters from the time of the Qing dynasty , who left orthodox ideas behind in favor of a freer, individualistic style and thereby partially developed bizarre painting techniques. The group is also mentioned under the name "Yangzhou School of Painting"

- Wāng Shìshèn (汪士 慎) (1686–1759)
- Huáng Shèn (黄 慎) (1687–1768)
- Lĭ Shàn (李 鱓 / 李 鳝) (around 1686, around 1756)
- Jīn Nóng (金 农) (1687–1764)
- Luō Pìng (罗 聘) (1733–1799)
- Gāo Xiáng (高翔) (1688–1753)
- Zhèng Xiè (郑 燮) also under the name Zhèng Bănqiáo (郑板桥) (1693–1765)
- Lĭ Fāngyīng (李 方 膺) (1696–1755)
