Ackey , also Akie , was a unit of mass for gold and silver in Guinea , Sudan and Benin and was known as the gold grain measure .

  • 1 Ackey = 5 gallina ≈ 1.3 grams
  • 1 Ackey = 1/6 ounce = 27 As (Dutch) = 1.299 grams
  • 1 Usanos / ounce = 6 Ackey = 30 Gallina = 162 As = 16,000 Kauris
