The Acosta Glacier is a 3 km long glacier on the West Antarctic Thurston Island that flows north just east of Dyer Point .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Alex V. Acosta (* 1942), computer and graphics specialist at the United States Geological Survey , with whose help high-resolution satellite maps of the Antarctic continent were created.
