The Acrid Point is a flat promontory between the Stench Point and the Pacific Point on the northwest coast of Zavodovski Iceland in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands .
By the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee made in 1971 designation refers to the biting ( English acrid ) volcanic gases escape on the west side of the island.
