Ad hoc [ at hɔk ] (Latin for “for this, for this”) is a Latin phrase and means “made for this moment” or “suitable for the matter”. Figuratively called ad hoc improvised acts (see. "From the impromptu ") and things that have been specifically designed for a purpose or arose spontaneously out of a situation.

  • An ad hoc announcement contains certain facts for immediate publication which have a significant impact on the market price of the listed securities of a company (or those for which the listing has been applied for) . The obligation to publish an ad hoc report results from Section 26 WpHG .
  • In information technology, an ad hoc network describes a wireless network topology between two or more end devices that does not require a fixed infrastructure. It also exists as a Wi-Fi ad hoc network .
