Ad Vitam Aeternam is a French Gothic Metal band from Paris .

Band history

The band was founded in 1999 by guitarist Jean Suire and keyboardist Cathy Bontant. The band soon came to the full current line-up. In 2003 and 2004, the debut album Abstract Senses was recorded, which brought the band a record deal with the Dutch label Karmageddon Media . Another singer, Celine de Kerliviou, joined the band for the work on the second album. In 2006 Fabien Longeot left Ad Vitam Aeternam .

style

The band plays Theater of Tragedy oriented Gothic Metal with female clear vocals and male guttural vocals . The piano has over other gothic metal bands a prominent, often supporting role.
