Hammerheart Records
Hammerheart Records is a Dutch record company that was renamed Karmageddon Media in 2004 and re-established in 2011 under the old name. The independent label has made a name for itself with its releases in the field of extreme metal (especially death metal , black metal , doom metal , folk metal ) with bands from all over the world. The label is incorporated in Holland as Hammerheart Holdings BV.
Label history
The label was based in Valkenburg aan de Geul . The founders and owners were Peter van Ool and Guido Heijnens .
The label's first release was a split CD between the German pagan metal band Tumulus and the Norwegian Viking metal band Mock. Other releases include groups from the Black / Death / Pagan Metal camp such as Ancient Rites , Aeternus , Hades Almighty and Primordial , but also bands such as Hagalaz 'Runedance , who tend to make quieter music.
Notable releases included the Greek band Septic Flesh and the bootlegs Zero Tolerance I & II., Released as Chuck Schuldiner and his band Control Denied , but with rehearsal and live recordings by the band Death . This led to litigation with Schuldiners Estate and a title withdrawal in October 2009.
In 2003 Hammerheart Records had financial problems. The decision was made to continue under the name Karmageddon Media and the two founders managed to find a new distributor with Plastic Head Distribution .
